Yoga I Yin

Tania, Is of Ngati Kahu (NZ Māori) and Scottish descent. Born and raised in the beautiful bay of plenty she has recently returned home after 16 years living in Australia and travelling abroad with her daughters to pursue a career in Secondary School teaching. 

Tania has been a practitioner of yoga for over 20 years now after falling in love with it after her first experience in a class in Sydney, Australia. 

It was in 2014 after the birth of her second daughter where she experienced the healing yoga offered her mind, body and spirit. 

Tania became a qualified yoga teacher 2017 and hasn’t looked back. 

She has taught in most settings, including pre-schools, high schools, aged care facilities and community’s halls and is of the knowing that Yoga is accessible for every BODY and it offers immense health benefits. 

With hundreds of hours of teaching experience in studios, gyms, boutique resorts in Australia and overseas, she has completed over 450 hours of certified teacher training in Australia. 

Initially trained in Hatha Yoga, Tania found a great love for Yin Yoga in 2021. 

Yin Yoga runs alongside traditional Chinese medicine and offers great healing within the deeper tissues of the body. She recommends anyone over the age of 35, who is an athlete or runs a lot, is carrying an injury or just wants to improve their flexibility, mobility whilst also calming their mind, to give Yin Yoga a try! 

Her practice and teaching of yoga has also brought forward other gifts which include: sound healing, reiki energy healing and old style Hawaiian Lomi Lomi healing massage which she also offers.
